Martin Manson

Defensive Coordinator

A proud graduate of Bloomfield High School (Class of 2005), Coach Manson excelled in football, baseball, and track & field, earning a scholarship to play football at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU). During his time with the Owls, he became a four-time All-Conference performer, three-time All-ECAC honoree, and was selected as a Preseason All-American in 2009. As team captain his senior year, he helped SCSU reach the NCAA playoffs four consecutive seasons, including the school’s first-ever playoff appearance in 2005.


Coach Manson continued his playing career professionally with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (CFL) and in various arena football leagues before turning to coaching.


His coaching résumé includes:


  • 2024–Present: Defensive Coordinator – St. Thomas More School

  • 2023: RBs & LBs – Bloomfield High School

  • 2022: Defensive Coordinator – Western New England University

  • 2020–2021: Head Coach – CREC Co-op High School

  • 2017–2020: Cornerbacks / Special Teams – SCSU

  • Additional roles: Capital Prep, Loganville Christian Academy, and Coventry High School



Coach Manson’s career is defined by his ability to develop high-IQ defensive backs, bring intensity to every rep, and prepare student-athletes for the next level—both on the field and in life. His addition strengthens our mission to mold elite athletes into elite leaders.
